couldn't have scriped it better.

today was such a brilliantly fantastic day, i couldn't have asked for a better Sunday. for starters, it was a warm 57 degrees. cloudless sky, sunny, a bit windy which is always annoying (especially if you're wearing lipgloss), but otherwise gorgeous. so gorgeous.

the day started with brunch at Kate's Joint on the Lower East Side (Ave B & 4th) with two of my bffs, sully and chas. i got the sweat potato hash brunch special, which came with delicious bread, tofu scramble (i opted for vegan cheese), a screwdriver, and coffee. sarah got a vegan version of eggs benedict, said it was delish. chas got the organic oatmeal- a little to runny for my taste, but pretty OK i suppose.

after brunch, we went over to Whole Foods on 2nd Ave, i.e. THE BEST WHOLE FOODS EVER, or at the very least in all of NYC. it's ENORMOUS, and the only thing i love more than grocery stores are enormous health food grocery stores...ESPECIALLY with kombucha on tap! yes, kombucha ON TAP. 16oz for $2.99. i couldn't pass that up, no sir i couldn't. the purpose for the trip over was to get gluten-free cupcake mix; i decided i was going to make cupcakes for the BKI Soho store meeting on monday night, but our new floor supervisor has Celiac's Disease, also known as an allergy to wheat gluten. well, i couldn't very well leave him out of the delicious treats (and everyone knows the way to a man's heart is through his stomach...right?) so i decided i'd make gluten-free cupcakes. after Whole Foods, we scampered over to Babycakes where sully got two-for-one day old gluten-free, vegan carrot cake cupcakes- they were delicious. the girl i met when i went with andrew a week or so ago, shelly, was working, but unfortunately was busy and couldn't hook up the "family discount" like last time. i'll just need to show my face there more often so i can solidify that.

after Babycakes and a pit-stop at Starbucks and BofA, we went over to Three Kings for sully's tattoo appointment. chas departed around this time, sadly, but Target is definitely way more enticing than sitting around in a tattoo shop for sure...well for some people, i dunno, i do enjoy hanging out in tattoo shops. EXCEPT for when one of the artists starts running his mouth and pisses me off and i have to hold my tongue because i'm on HIS turf, NOT mine, and it's not appropriate for me to be an asshole where i don't belong...otherwise, though, tattoo shop hangs are the best.

OH i totally forgot, inbetween WF and Babycakes, we stopped into Economy Candy. holy bonbons, batman! that place was insane-o. floor to ceiling candies and snacks and wax mustaches...wait what? oh don't worry, i have pictures...

oh yes. OOOHHH yes. you love our grape-flavored 'staches. we know...we know.

Economy Candy- Where's Waldo? Alex Lane & Chastine?

sully, under the influence of some Bad Pussies, and me, shocked and appalled.

chas & i: our vices, our pimps.

just a couple of goobers and their clearly more awesome friend. (mahahaha)

we love our Babycakes!!!

so, that was my sunday for the most part. after the tattoo shop it was just failed attempts at grocery shopping (PathMark was a SHIT. SHOW!) and making those gluten-free cupcakes, which are actually quite delicious. sully left shortly after to head back to pokips and after a short apartment cleaning frenzy, i'm just sitting around, feeling like i should do something productive...i guess i could do my spanish homework...or read some of my US history book. or do some yoga, or crunches, or something...but instead i think i'll just relax and save the productivity for tomorrow because i have two whole days off in a row! that's right, TWO. WHOLE. DAYS! and it's supposed to be glorious all week, which means i can be productive in the sunshine!!! look look, i show you:

BRILLIANT! i'm delighted, simply delighted.
