getting by on sleeping in.

i'm not really motivated to do a big post, my brain is a little blank. it's one of those times where there's a lot going on at once, and it all just cancels out so my brain ends up just feeling empty. i will, however, update with photos because they're way more fun anyways....

 so on sunday, shmemily and i went to the best Mexican joint in the city, Viva El Mariachi. this joint also happens to be in my 'hood, and probably also the best Mexican food i've had outside of Mexico. this is what i had, huevos mexicanos- scrambled eggs with peppers, rice, beans, and then i drowned the eggs in the most amazing salsa ever in the world. and then i made breakfast tacos :)

em got the enchilada burrito, which also looked delicious, but is like, totally stuffed with meat so i didn't try it. i'm sure it was delicious though. i stole the guac off the top of it...i left her some, of course.

sunday evening, sully came into the city for a tattoo appt, which i accompanied her to. it was an uneventful evening. went to the shop, bickered with bosch, had some laughs, made fun of the shop girl that's dumb and consequently getting fired. you know, regular good times.

yesterday was my turn in the tattoo chair; two hours later, bettie was no logner a floating torso on my arm. john did a great job, as always. and now my arm is swollen and red and feels all big and fat. goes with the territory i suppose. can't wait to see what mom and dad say...ha. OH, and while i was in the chair i got a call from BKI asking me to come in and close...ugh. so i went in for an hour and a half and while i did that, sully went to Babycakes and got some delicious cupcakes and got me some cupcake tops :) my fave.

today, sully met me between classes for a quick jaunt to Whole Foods 2nd Ave (THE BEST EVER), and during our little roam around the market i found this:

for boozy cat ladies everywhere!!! apparently it's brewed someplace upstate and is also delicious. i guess i should try it, even though i don't love IPAs, i do love coffee. and kitties. it deserves a chance. (EDIT: i just realized it says "coppery" not "coffee". it probably will not be getting a chance.)

and then before we hopped back into the car (which got a totally illegit parking ticket for "putting the meter ticket upside down so it was unreadable- she's totally going to dispute it and definitely will not be paying the ticket), we took a quick snap of this awesome new mural on Allen:

ok, i've completely exhausted my blog brain for the day. i'm going to try and work on some photos for my senior show, and maybe i'll actually post them and share them with the public one of these days. first, i have to actually make decisions about which ones i like and that is always the hardest part. ugh. wish me luck.
